Teen Wolf Stories Inspired by 6B Episodes
This is a collection of Teen Wolf stories inspired by episodes and scenes from season 6B. The stories will generally take place right after a particular episode in the timeline and will diverge from there. I don't intend to cover or re-write the events of actual episodes, but rather add additional scenes and short stories that might have happened separately between two or more characters as a result.
Spoilers for 6B and the series finale. Following the events at the hospital, Nolan is left drowning in grief about what happened to Gabe. Someone unexpected is there to take care of him.
“I think what you’re telling me is that he mattered. He was important to you.”
Tears burned Nolan’s eyes as he nodded. He turned away from Liam on the couch, embarrassed to be crying in front of him. He was about to get up when Liam rubbed his back and whispered that it was okay, and he found himself lying back against Liam’s chest instead.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” Nolan stared down at Liam’s hands folded over his stomach and covered them with his own as he snuggled deeper into Liam's embrace.
"Ever since the Anuk-Ite thing started, I’ve been having trouble controlling myself. Now I’m not, and it feels really good that I can be around” –Liam hesitated and took a breath, his chest expanding against Nolan’s back– “around you and not feel any urge to hurt you. It’s pretty cool that you seem to trust me too.”
Nolan laid his head back against Liam’s shoulder, proving Liam’s point. He felt safe, really safe, safer than he had in months. “I think I was only afraid because of it too.”
A month after Aiden's death and a week before Christmas, Ethan moves to London to start over. Danny insists he look up Jackson while he's there.
They sipped their drinks and made casual conversation. Everything was going fine until Rockin Around the Christmas Tree started playing through the pub’s sound system. It had been Aiden’s favorite Christmas song when they were kids. As they had grown older, Aiden had shown less outward exuberance when it came on, but it had never failed to lift his spirits and bring a smile to his face.
“My parents are in Manchester.” Jackson sipped his beer, visibly tensing.
“That’s nice,” Ethan muttered, only partially aware of the shift in Jackson’s mood as the pain and raw emotion that had lurked just beneath the surface for the past month came sweeping out into the open. His stomach roiled and his throat closed as he stood on shaky legs. “Bathroom,” he called, hustling away from the table.
He cursed under his breath as he reached the facilities and discovered they were single occupancy with three people already ahead of him in line. He turned toward the wall and closed his eyes as a flood of memories washed over him.
Spoilers for Season 6B, Episode 16. Liam awakes in Theo's truck on the way back from the zoo, and Theo tells Liam about his 'one emotion at a time' theory. Liam proceeds to have a range of emotions for Theo that night.
Liam glanced at Theo then back at the screen as they unloaded their weapons into a hoard of zombies. “Why’d you stop me from killing Nolan?”
“I thought you’d regret doing it once you calmed down,” Theo answered in a voice without emotion. Liam smelled his anxiety spike.
“I would have.”
“Then what’s your question?” Theo looked away from the screen long enough to frown at Liam.
“Why you would care?” Liam asked softly, staring straight ahead.
“Scott would have–”
“Blamed me not you.”
“Fine.” Irritation swirled around Theo. “I didn’t want you to have that on your conscience.”
Theo growled and paused the game. He looked at Liam with glowing eyes. “Because I know what it’s like.”
Spoilers for 6B and the series finale. Theo goes to the hospital to protect Liam from the hunters and winds up learning a lesson about compassion. This unexpected act of kindness prompts Liam to open up to Theo.
If Theo had gotten a second chance after everything he had done, didn’t Gabe deserve one too? Theo couldn’t give him that; he couldn’t stop him from dying, but he could stop him from dying in agony. He could ease Gabe’s pain and fear.
He squeezed Gabe’s wrist and watched in awe as black lines traveled out of Gabe’s body and into his own.
Gabe let out a ragged sigh and his muscles relaxed in Theo’s grip.
“Does it hurt anymore?” Theo asked, looking into Gabe’s eyes.
Gabe shook his head, his breathing unlabored. “No,” he whispered.
“Good.” Theo held on as Gabe’s eyes closed and his body went slack.
