Summary

Once there, the horrific truth draws them into a tragedy that neither of them could have anticipated and which threatens not only their friendship but their very lives. A re-imagining of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” set in modern times.

Summary
With over 95% of the population wiped out following biological warfare gone wrong, Jeff's patrolling for the resistance - yes, he's fully aware of how bad sci-fi movie that sounds, but when the most powerful of the survivors start setting up a seat of power to subjugate the weaker remaining citizens, what do you do but resist? - when he comes across Jared and saves his life.
Humans that survived the event were left with new abilities. Jeff's unpredictable premonition ability flares up hard, and he knows he has to protect Jared and keep him close, not just for his own good but perhaps the good of what's left of the human race. Not that he has to tell Jared that.
Jeff takes Jared back to the resistance base, a perilous trip that bonds the two men and changes the relationship between them in ways neither were expecting.
When rumors of a new weapon reach the other side, their spies kidnap Jared, forcing realizations, confessions, and the revelation of what Jared really is.

Summary
When Jeff Morgan swapped his Sopwith Camel for a civilian aeroplane at the end of the Great War, he didn't expect ever to engage in another aerial combat. But the downside to having friends in high places is that every favour must ultimately be repaid. When, in 1940, an aerial Battle for Britain starts to look likely, Wing Commander Richings determines that a special kind of squadron will be needed to head the defence -- and he wants Jeff to head the experiment. It isn't a request.
275 Squadron seem a motley crew at first. The three Flight Lieutenants, Ackles, Padalecki and Collins, are all unmanageable in their own unique ways, and only the presence of an old friend on base sees Jeff through a difficult first couple of weeks. But as rumours of total air warfare become realised, Jeff learns that first impressions don't always tell the full story, and that nothing constitutes disaster unless you let it.

Jensen Ackles, a disillusioned loner who clawed his way from the neon streets to the hacker elite, vows revenge on LenCorp, the megacorporation housing much of world's information. He gets caught during a run when he runs into strange code in their system and ends up in Jeff Morgan's team at Dallas Tactical, partnered with street-smuggler-turned-field-agent Jared Padalecki. Jared falls for the surly hacker with silvery polycarbon lenses covering his eyes and Jensen slowly warms to the kid whose loyalty has cost him an arm. Their routine work is interrupted when Jared's former partner is found dead. That sets off a chain of events revealing details of a hacker resistance, a corporate conspiracy and the strange code protecting LenCorp's servers that forces Jensen to run and decide who he can trust.
