We'll take good care of all your lonely plot bunnies until we can find them a new home.
(Open, Unmoderated, Prompt Meme Challenge)
Leave your plot bunnies here and they will be looked after and displayed to the public. Hopefully someone else with the time or inclination to give them the attention they deserve will one day take them home with them. But until then, we promise to love them like our own.
What is a plot bunny?
A plot bunny is the starting point of a fic. I could be an entire plot idea, it could be a great starting point or it might be a few lines of prose/dialogue. It's up too you. Different people's minds work in different ways. What it mustn't be is too proscriptive or controlling. The point of this is that the bunny isn't yours anymore, so give the adopter leeway to make the bunny all their own. And don't forget that this is not a place to request fics, it's a place for ideas. So while you might have an awsome idea you really want written (Mycroft is secretly a serial killer, write it people), you can't just put that you really want more Wincest. It's got too be a plot idea.
Can I post a plot bunny I've already used?
Yes by all means! It would be great too see what different idea people come up with based on a single prompt. Just make sure you're not too specific in your bunny. And link your fic back too the bunny page using the 'inspired by' function.
Can I change the text of a prose/dialogue bunny?
The answer is a tentative yes. If the prose doesn't fit with your style of writing then it makes sense too adjust it, but be very careful not too loose sight of the original, cos that defeats the purpose of the petting zoo.
1. If you claim a bunny and then realise you can't write it, give it back. Don't pass it on to someone else yourself. If they want it, they've gotta come visit the zoo to get it.
2. USING A BUNNY WITHOUT ADOPTING IT FIRST IS OUT AND OUT THEFT. Don't do it people.
