The Charles Shaw AU departs from Unbound after chapter 9 but hopefully stands on its own just as well.
When Charles uses his telepathy to intervene in a bullying episode, his stepfather hands him over to Sebastian Shaw, who cuts Charles's soulbond to Erik and takes Charles as his own bondmate. Erik recovers enough magnetism to sense Charles's direction, and comes to find him.
