There is a very subtle moment at the end of Memory. Simon, Miles, and Cordelia are having dinner together. Simon announces that he has found a flat and thanks Miles for his help and hospitality. Miles takes the thanks as routine but Simon was trying to indicate his gratitude to Miles for saving him.
What I'd like to see is Cordelia's reaction after Miles leaves. Just saying Barrayarans, or howling with laughter at Simon's chagrin, or something else? -
