Summary
During battle one of Clint’s arrows goes astray.
It's not the arrow to the gut that surprises him; rather it is the fact that he doesn't feel the pain right away. In the heat of a fight, the swarm of emotions and stimuli battling for attention can make it impossible to focus on just one thing. He sees the arrow, in fact, he watched as Hawkeye launched it. It should have aimed true, Hawkeye does not miss. Yet, he did. His aim went awry when one of the things invading from the Nine Realms smacked him upside the head at the same time he loosed the arrow. Steve had turned, yelled a warning of the oncoming assailant, but he'd been too late. The arrow, instead of flying to the enemy Steve had engaged, pierced him through the abdomen.

Years after the events of new york, the avengers have settled down, and had families of there own. But when Loki escapes the asgaurdian prison, all hell breaks loose. The avengers, who are now much older, no longer have the strength to handle a battle like this. in responce, Nick Fury, the director of S.H.E.I.L.D, calls in the children of the avengers to train them to fight and help track down loki. The only question is: are they balanced enough to fill the shoes of there parents?

Bruce Banner's life since the Battle of New York had consisted of being an Avenger...and working feverishly to try NOT to be one. Recently, however, as he reluctantly admits his alter ego is useful to have around in a fight, his research has turned towards being able to control the Other Guy when he has to let the monster off its leash. Although he refuses to give up, it's not going well. His peace of mind isn't helped much at all by the presence of their lab assistant, who is entirely too confusing and hasn't the sense to be afraid of him.

Originally a fill posted at norsekink in response to the prompt:
"After the Avengers capture Loki at the end of the movie, they lock him up as a precaution before shipping him off to Asgard. And being the good guys, they decide to give him the chance to bathe and dress in clean clothes instead of sleeping in his own dirty rags.
The problem is, without the whole battle gear and the drawn and mean look, Loki looks surprisingly young, which prompts the Avengers to ask Thor just how old Loki really is. Of course Loki is centuries old, but Thor tells them that in human standard, Loki would still be considered underage!
Cue to horrified Avengers who wants to know exactly what sort of crappy home life Loki must have had to end up like this before even reaching adulthood."
It rather spiralled from there into a behemoth, now in the process of being edited and hopefully cleaned of glaring plotholes! Updated daily.

No need to fight anybody for dominance, because the serum's gift of full control over his status and sexuality meant he could be as neutral as a child when he wanted to be. Which mostly, he did. He kept the past in the past, and his junk in his pants, and called it success, but life, biology, and luck have a way of bringing hidden things to the surface, and the truth about Steve's status is the very least of the secrets about to come bubbling to the surface.
